'I regret that ...', Kejriwal broke silence when the security cover was removed amidst electoral fierce

A day after AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s security personnel deployed under the protection of AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, the former Chief Minister of Delhi on Friday termed it as ‘pure politics’.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, he said, “I regret that personal security has been politicized.”

His remarks came after the allegations by AAP chief that the police on Thursday allowed the rival candidate to attack his car on the orders of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Delhi Police rejected the claim.

At the press conference on Friday, Kejriwal took a dig at the BJP and Shah over the law and order situation in Delhi due to the activities of gangsters.

Kejriwal said that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who claims to eliminate gangsters in his state, should give tips to Shah’s gangsters.

AAP chief said that “pure politics” is behind “withdrawing his security”. He said that there should be no politics on at least personal security and safety.

Punjab Police Director General Gaurav Yadav said on Thursday that the Punjab Police troops have been removed after the instructions of the Delhi Police and the Election Commission.
