A day after being elected president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Chief Minister Hemant Soren took an oath to become the voice of every poor, deprived and youth of the state. The post of JMM president was earlier with his father Shibu Soren.
Rajya Sabha member Shibu Soren was the head of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for the last 38 years, while his son Hemant had been working as the party’s working president since 2015.
Hemant Soren said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’, “Respected Baba, our patron respected Shibu Soren ji, under the shadow of the ideologies whose foundations were laid under the shadow of JMM, today it is a proud moment for me to get an opportunity to pursue it. I politely accept this responsibility and take a pledge that every village of Jharkhand, every poor, will be the voice of every deprived and every youth. ”
Hemant Soren was elected to the post of president during the 13th Central Session of JMM on Tuesday, in which his father was made the founder patron of the party.
He said, “Today when I am handling the responsibility of the post of President of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), many feelings are thronging in my mind. It is not an ordinary position, but is representing the dreams, struggles and aspirations of the people of Jharkhand. ”He said that the history of our party is full of struggles, but our resolve is adamant.
The Chief Minister of Jharkhand said, “Today again we have to unite and fight for Jharkhand’s identity, development and justice. I promise all the workers, leaders and the people of Jharkhand that you will never let your trust be broken. ”
During the two -day central conference held on Tuesday, Hemant Soren introduced a strong social justice agenda for JMM, indicating the intention of the party’s intention to expand its influence out of the state. He announced that “feudal forces” would no longer be allowed to exploit the state.
At the 13th Central Conference of the party headed by Shibu Soren, his son Hemant Soren indicated that the party is ready to redefine his national role, excited by its strong performance in the 2024 assembly elections in the state.
He said, “The Abua Sarkar (JMM government) was formed due to the collective willpower of tribals, Dalits and other marginalized communities, who rejected the government with a double engine of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2019 assembly elections.”
Hemant Soren said, “This government belongs to the public … feudal forces have faced a crushing defeat to the people here and now JMM has emerged as a powerful force, JMM will not let them loot Jharkhand further.”
He said that during his previous rule, the BJP hatched several conspiracies to overthrow his democratically elected government, but the JMM government faced “frequent political pressure” and is committed to giving a top priority to the welfare of its people.
Considering the political visit of the state since the formation of the state in the year 2000, Soren accused the previous governments of implementing such policies that continued to exploit the tribals and farmers. He said that the party has increased its base in many states, and will continue to extend it further.
