Delhi Politics: There is a lot of upheaval in Delhi politics these days. Arvind Kejriwal himself resigned and chose Atishi as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Now Atishi will take oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on 21 September. But before taking oath, a statement of Atishi came into discussion. In this, Atishi has warned the people of Delhi. Comparing with Uttar Pradesh, she said that if we want to save the state from a situation like UP, then make Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister.
Delhi’s nominated Chief Minister Atishi said, BJP has increased the price of 1 kilowatt connection by 250% and 5 kilowatt connection by 118% in Uttar Pradesh. This is the same Uttar Pradesh government which had cut power for 8 hours in summer. BJP’s model of electricity is – ‘long power cuts and expensive electricity’, that is why it is very important for the people of Delhi to elect Arvind Kejriwal as the Chief Minister of Delhi again, otherwise the situation we are seeing in Uttar Pradesh today will be the same in Delhi. Today I want to tell the people of Delhi that when the elections will be held in February, form an Aam Aadmi Party government and make Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister, only then will Delhi get 24-hour electricity and the cheapest electricity. In the coming 4 months, as long as I have the responsibility of the Chief Minister, I will try my best to protect the people of Delhi.
What changes have been made in UP’s electricity connection?
In fact, under Section 4 of the Electricity Right of Consumer Rule 2020, new rules and regulations have been made to determine the charge for consumers’ connection. According to the new proposal of the corporation, the line charge proposed for up to 100 meters will be Rs 1500 for 1 kilowatt to 2 kilowatt. However, till now it was Rs 150. At the same time, the proposal for 3 to 4 kilowatt is Rs 3500, which was Rs 398 till now. Rs 10000 for 5 to 10 kilowatt, which was only Rs 2036 till now. Rs 122000 is proposed for 51 kilowatt to 150 kilowatt. In the proposal, different rates have been proposed for line charge from 100 meters to 250 meters. Atishi compared Delhi with Uttar Pradesh regarding these rates. He has warned the people of Delhi that if they do not vote for Kejriwal then they will have to face a situation like UP.
