Lucknow, September 22 (IANS). Rajya Sabha MP and former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Dinesh Sharma spoke exclusively to IANS on Saturday. During this, he gave his reaction on various issues.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has said that Sanatan Rakshak Board should be formed at the national level in the country. On this, Dinesh Sharma said, this is his suggestion with a pure spirit. He is seeing that Sanatan is being attacked from all sides. So in such a situation, it is also a moral responsibility of the government to keep the Sanatan tradition and culture intact. He expressed grief over the Prasad episode in Tirupati Balaji temple and said that this is a tampering with faith. After investigation, other facts will come to light and strict action should be taken against the culprits.
On SP national president and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav’s statement on the head of the monastery, BJP leader Dinesh Sharma said, now he has come to know that if a saint of Uttar Pradesh has a rosary in his hand, then he can also be of the nature of Parshuram. The anger and curse of a saint matters a lot. It is not right to compare a saint with the mafia. A person sitting on a constitutional post should exercise restraint on words.
When the SP president raised questions on the encounters in UP, the BJP leader quipped that when one’s own people suffer, people feel pain. Crime had become an industry during their rule. But now criminals are leaving Uttar Pradesh or are being punished. Only those who have given protection to the mafia are suffering.
On the statement by AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi that lakhs of people do not have papers of Waqf property, the BJP leader said, after a few days Owaisi will say that the whole of India is ours. He should understand that even Pakistan does not have as much land as the Waqf is claiming. If that much land is given to them, then there will be one Pakistan, one Bangladesh and one Waqf. In such a situation, where will the original Indians live?
In response to a question related to the post of Chief Minister of Delhi, Dinesh Sharma said that what was the need for Kejriwal to do this drama. When the court decided that he cannot sign files related to the Chief Minister, he had no option other than resignation. He lost all seven seats in the Lok Sabha. The people of Delhi have rejected him.
