New Delhi, October 24 (IANS). Delhi BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva took a dip in the Yamuna river on Thursday. He said, Arvind Kejriwal has only cheated the people of Delhi in the name of cleaning the Yamuna river. Like every promise, he could not fulfill the promise of taking a dip in the Yamuna river before the 2025 elections.
Speaking to IANS, Delhi BJP state president said, we have set up two chairs for Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Atishi. We are waiting for them to come, but they did not come. We wanted him to come here, and tell the people of Delhi why the condition of Yamuna is like this today. He should understand the pain of the people of Delhi, especially when Chhath festival is just ten days away. Our Purvanchal brothers and sisters all over India celebrate this festival with great devotion, worshiping Lord Surya. How will my mothers perform rituals while standing in the Yamuna, where no one can even touch the water? This is our concern. Maybe if Arvind Kejriwal sees this, he will understand.”
Aam Aadmi Party claims that BJP is doing politics. On this, BJP State President said, Aam Aadmi Party is not working, it is doing all the work. During the 10 years of rule, Delhi government has worked to loot Delhi. I want to ask Delhi CM Atishi what her government has done to prevent air pollution in the last 10 years. After the BJP government comes to power in Delhi, Sabarmati Front will also be seen in Delhi.
Virendra Sachdeva posted on social media platform X. He wrote, Mother Yamuna is the giver of life. One of the most sacred rivers of India. But, today no person from Delhi can worship at the ghats of Yamuna. Chhath festival is coming. Where will our mothers and sisters worship?
Today, as a Delhiite, I took a dip in the ghat of Mother Yamuna and sought forgiveness from Mother Yamuna. There is no ghat of Yamuna in Delhi which is clean. Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi’s government looted Rs 8500 crore of Yamuna cleaning fund, but did not clean Mother Yamuna. Delhi government does not have time to come near Yamuna river. We were waiting by laying out the red carpet. But they did not come, today they do not have the strength to make eye contact with the people of Delhi, because they have only cheated the people of Delhi and looted Delhi.
