Using TTD for their own interests – TDP NEPA
On Tirupati Laddu controversy, TDP leader Nara Lokesh said- The previous government maintained TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam) only for the welfare of its partners. We said that if the name of God is misused, it will bring destruction. The leader further said that from 2019 to 2024, our alliance (Jana Sena Telugu Desam) had condemned the then YSRCP government several times. He said that based on the lab report, we have revealed the use of animal fat in making substandard Tirumala Laddu.
‘Will bring back the respect’
The TTD leader further told news agency ANI that the previous government had tarnished the reputation of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. We have appointed a new EO to correct the past mistakes. CM Chandrababu Naidu has given instructions to maintain the quality of Prasad. We have seen many CMs in the state before but never seen such a government. The previous government had created TTD only for its welfare. The NDA government will bring new reforms to bring back the reputation of TTD. Earlier also, TTD board member and BJP leader Bhanu Prakash Reddy condemned the addition of animal fat in Tirupati Prasadam Laddu at Sri Venkateswara Temple. He said that he would lodge a complaint against the previous YSRCP government. The previous government was led by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
What is the Tirupati Temple Prasad controversy?
Andhra Pradesh’s ruling Telugu Desam Party recently claimed that animal fat was mixed in the laddus offered as prasad at the Tirupati Balaji temple. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu blamed former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan’s party YSRCP, which was in power till a few months ago. He has claimed that during the YSRCP rule, the laddus offered at the Tirupati temple were made from ghee, which contained animal fat. This claim was confirmed after the lab report came.
