Former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav, who was recently expelled from the RJD by his father and founding president Lalu Prasad, has passed the interview for the initial stage of the pilot training (Ab-Insio) to the Commercial Pilot License (CPL) course.
According to the list of successful candidates released by the Directorate of Aviation (Government of Bihar) on 20 June, Yadav has finished fifth among the 18 candidates who have passed interviews and documents verification process for the initial to CPL syllabus.
The interview and document verification process was held between December 16, 2024 to 18 December 2024.
The former Bihar minister was expelled by his father Lalu Prasad for six years from RJD on 25 May, allegedly confessed to being “in a relationship” with a woman named Anushka a day earlier.
However, he later removed the Facebook post and claimed that his page was “hacked”. Lalu Prasad also broke his ties with Tej Pratap’s “irresponsible behavior”.
This post had raised a big controversy and Yadav’s wife Aishwarya, who was living separately, alleged in front of the media that her in -laws had ‘ruined’ her life by getting her married to Yadav, while Yadav was in a relationship with another woman in 2018 long before her marriage.
A few days after the expulsion of the party, Tej Pratap Yadav alleged that the “conspiracy” was being hatched to create a rift between him and his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav.
He expressed his feelings in some posts on his X handle, and blamed the metaphor of the traitors ‘Jaichand’ for this crisis.
Using the imagination of Mahabharata, which he has used to describe his relationship with his more successful younger brother, Yadav wrote, “Those who are dreaming of creating a rift between me and Arjuna, they will never succeed in their conspiracy. They can win Krishna’s army, but I will not catch Krishna themselves. I will soon expose every such conspiracy.”
Without naming Tejashwi Yadav, he said, “My brother, I will tell you that I am with you in every situation. My blessings were with you and will always be with you. Mom-father will take care of you, Jaichand is also outside and inside.”
He was exposed a few months before the Bihar assembly elections, which will be fought under the leadership of RJD Tejashwi Yadav. Born at former Bihar Chief Minister Prasad and Rabri Devi, both brothers are out of four of the nine siblings active in politics.
Tej Pratap Yadav made his political debut in the 2015 assembly elections and is a second MLA and has also been a member of the state cabinet for two brief tenure.
