The Shiv Sena said on Monday that if Raj Thackeray stays away from BJP and Eknath Shinde -led Shiv Sena, there is no question of “any issue” between party chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS chief Raj Thackeray.
The editorial of Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ also claimed that the possibility of reconciliation between Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray has disturbed the ‘Maharashtra opponents’.
Cousins Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray have given air to speculation of potential reconciliation, as their statements indicate that they may ignore “minor issues” and join hands after halted differences of almost two decades.
The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief has said that it is not difficult to unite in the interest of “Marathi Manush”, while former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that he is ready to postpone small battles, provided that those who work against the interests of Maharashtra are not allowed.
The editorial of Saamana states that the issues referred to by Raj Thackeray were never known to the public. Raj always talks about “Marathi Manus” and (then undivided) Shiv Sena (established by Bal Thackeray) was also born to pursue this purpose. So where are the issues? It was asked.
Marathi Dainik said, “There was no reason for the BJP and Shinde Sena to talk about it. These people started these so -called issues. So if the BJP and Shinde Sena is kept away, there will be no issue.”
The Shiv Sena, led by BJP and Shinde, targeted the Shiv Sena (UBT) by placing a gun on Raj’s shoulders. This did not benefit MNS, but damaged Marathi unity.
The editorial alleged that the BJP’s move was to weaken Marathi unity. Marathi Dainik claimed that Raj’s attitude was that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah should not be allowed to step into Maharashtra, but he did not maintain it.
It is noteworthy that MNS announced unconditional support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third term in 2024. The editorial alleged that BJP’s Hindutva is “fake and hollow” and Raj got caught in its trap and drowned in it.
It says that if the whole life is spent in dealing with quarrels and problems, then Maharashtra will never forgive.
