Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (Subhaspa) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar has said that if there is no talk on the seat sharing with the BJP -led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), his party is ready to contest the upcoming Bihar elections independently.
Speaking to journalists on Friday evening at the headquarters of his party located in Rasra in Ballia district, Panchayati Raj Minister Rajbhar said, “Our first priority is to contest elections under the alliance with NDA. The conversation is completed up to 70 percent and 30 percent remains.
He said, ‘However, we are also preparing for another option. If there is no compromise due to pressure from some leaders of Bihar, then we are fully prepared to contest elections independently.
Rajbhar clarified that his party would not be involved in the ‘India’ alliance. He said, ‘Many parties are not directly involved in the India alliance and negotiations are going on with some of them. If the conversation with the BJP is not successful, then we will contest elections by forming a separate front. We are actively working on 156 seats.
Criticizing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, he said, ‘When Rahul Gandhi travels abroad, he questions India’s credibility and attacks the Election Commission. But when his party wins the election, he never expresses such concern. If they feel that the elections were rigged, then they should openly say and present the evidence. He claimed that Rahul Gandhi has realized defeat in Bihar, so ‘he has started making baseless statements like former Prime Minister VP Singh’.
