Kolkata News Desk !!! Mamata Banerjee, mother of a trainee doctor of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College, has accused CM Mamata Banerjee of lying about compensation. She said on Monday that CM Mamata Banerjee had offered her money after her daughter’s death. In a statement to ANI, the mother of the deceased said that the Chief Minister is lying. My daughter will not come back. Will I lie in her name? The CM told us that we will get money and said that we will do something for them. I said that when my daughter gets justice in this case, I will come to her office to get the money.
Earlier, CM Mamata Banerjee had said on Monday that we never offered money to the parents of the deceased trainee doctor. We just told them that if they want to do something in memory of their daughter, then our government is with them. During a review meeting at the state secretariat, CM Mamata said that Kolkata Commissioner Vineet Goyal has offered to resign due to the protests, but we need a responsible officer who can handle law and order during Durga Puja.
Police offered money while handing over daughter’s body
Let us tell you that the parents of the trainee doctor accused the Kolkata Police and said that while handing over the body of their daughter, the police said that we have fulfilled our responsibility. During this, they also offered money. At the same time, the protesting doctors accused the police of tampering with the evidence and demanded the resignation of the Police Commissioner.
These allegations have been made by the trainee doctor’s father on the police
The deceased’s trainee doctor father said that the police were trying to hush up the case from the very beginning. We had to wait at the police station until the body was taken for post-mortem. After the daughter’s body was handed over to us, the police officer offered to pay us. The trainee doctor’s father said that 300-400 policemen surrounded us but not a single policeman was present after the funeral. How will the family get home? The police did not take any responsibility of what will be done.
