Police have shared some parts of the suicide note of murderer Mukti Ranjan Roy with media persons. Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand said that a charge sheet will be filed in the case soon. Odisha Police has translated Mukti Ranjan’s suicide note and given it to Bengaluru Police and Mukti Ranjan’s post mortem report has also arrived. The weapon with which Mukti Ranjan had cut Mahalakshmi’s body into pieces has not been recovered yet, but a woman running a small shop in Vyalikal area has recognized Mukti Ranjan from whom she had purchased the cutter. Mukti Ranjan has also written the reason for killing Mahalakshmi in the suicide note. Why did he commit such a brutal crime while narrating his own story?

According to media reports, it has been claimed in the suicide note that Mahalakshmi wanted to kill Mukti Ranjan. He has also bought a black suitcase to keep the dead body. Let us tell you that during the search of the incident place, the police also found a suitcase, which is completely new and black in color. It is written in the suicide note that Mahalakshmi will kill Mukti Ranjan and cut the body into pieces and put it in a suitcase. Therefore, if Mukti Ranjan had not killed her, she would have killed him. Mukti kills Mahalakshmi in self-defence, as she has sensed Mahalakshmi’s intentions. Mahalakshmi started pressurizing Mukti to get married. He asked her for money and jewellery. She used to quarrel with him and beat him when he could not fulfill her demands, but to save his life he killed Mahalakshmi and he was saddened by her murder, so in remorse he committed suicide.

Let us tell you that there was a love affair between Mukti Ranjan and Mahalakshmi, who worked in a mall in Bengaluru. Mahalakshmi lived separately from her husband and daughter. Both of them went missing on September 1st. After this, on September 21, due to the foul smell coming from the house, the case of murder of Mahalakshmi and dismemberment of her body came to light. The police found Mahalakshmi’s mutilated body scattered in the fridge and in the room. When the police reached the mall while inquiring, they found Mukti Ranjan. When the police reached Bhadrak town in Odisha to take him into custody, he was found hanging from a tree in his native village. He had confessed to his crime in the suicide note. In the suicide note, he has confessed to killing Mahalakshmi by strangulation on the night of 2-3 September. He also admitted that he bought a cutter, cut the body into pieces and stuffed it in the fridge. After committing the crime, he fled to Odisha to join his brother.
