Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that his “Wocal for Local” campaign is now bringing color as Indian products are becoming global and making their presence felt around the world.
Modi said at the inauguration of the ‘NewsX World’ channel at the ‘NXT’ conference that the world kept looking at India as its ‘back office’ for decades, but the country is now emerging as the world’s factory. The Prime Minister said that now India is not a workforce but a “world power”.
Modi said that the country is making ‘semiconductor’ and aircraft carrier and its Makhana and millet such as ‘superfood’ (minimum calories and maximum nutrient foods), AYUSH products and yoga are being adopted worldwide. He said that India has become a major automobile producer and its defense export is increasing.
Modi said that India should be introduced without any lipa-granddaughter as it is. He said that it does not need any kind of appearance. He said that the real stories of the country should reach the world.
The Prime Minister said that the third time of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reflects the trust of the people for the third time. He hoped that India’s new global news channel would take the achievements of the country abroad.
He said that the world is looking towards India in the 21st century and the country is constantly creating positive news.He said that India is now leading many global initiatives. He recently referred to the co-head of the AI (Artificial Medha) Summit and the chairmanship of the G20.
Referring to Mahakumbh, Modi said that it highlighted the skills and innovation of India to organize programs. He said that his government has canceled many obsolete laws. He said that under one law of the British, dancing of 10 or more people was considered a crime and this law remained in force until their government canceled it.
The Prime Minister took a sarcasm at the “Lutyens Jamaat” and “Contractor of PIL”, saying that he goes to court for everything, but remains silent on such laws. He said that he did not think about freedom then.
