New Delhi, March 29 (IANS). The earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand on Friday caused huge havoc. There has been a lot of loss of life and property in this devastation. Meanwhile, India has extended the help of earthquake affected Myanmar. Sources said India will send more than 15 tonnes of relief material to Myanmar, as many powerful earthquakes killed more than 144 people and more than 700 people were injured.
Sources said that India will send relief material to Myanmar by the C-130J aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF), which will leave from the Air Force Station Hindon.
According to sources, the relief package includes tents, sleeping bags, blankets, food prepared food, water purifier, hygiene kit, solar lamps, generator sets and essential medicines such as paracetamol, antibiotics, syringes, gloves and straps.
Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy is closely monitoring the situation and said that there is no report of any Indian being injured yet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “India is ready to send help to Myanmar after a major earthquake on Friday.”
PM Modi said on X on Friday, “I am worried about the situation after the earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. India is ready to provide all possible assistance.”

According to the National Center for Sisamology (NCS), a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in Myanmar at 11:56 pm on Friday.
