New Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS) Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) is celebrating its 65th anniversary. On this occasion, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri praised the company’s contribution and wished it success in the future.
The Union Minister praised the company for its efforts for the people of the country despite rising global fuel prices in the last three years.
He said, “First Indian, then Oil! In the last three years, fuel prices have risen by 40-70 per cent across the world. Despite this, Indian Oil did not let Indian citizens face the global rise in fuel prices. Puri said, “On the important occasion of 65th Indian Oil Day, I acknowledge the exceptional contributions of Indian Oil and wish the organisation continued success in its journey towards excellence.”
The Union Minister said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are moving towards ‘Developed India’. ‘Indian Oil’ stands strong as a model of nationalism, efficiency and cutting-edge innovation and is leading the global energy sector with new solutions.”
He further added, “This remarkable journey is a testament to the enduring legacy of India’s oil and gas industry and the tireless dedication of nearly 30,000 Indians and the six lakh strong workforce, who through their indomitable spirit, ensure that India continues to march towards becoming the third largest economy in the world.”
The company expressed its gratitude to the Union Minister on his post. It said, “Thank you Hardeep Singh Puri for your inspiring words on Indian Oil. We are moving forward with pride towards the vision of ‘Developed India’.
