Kullu, September 18 (IANS). International Dussehra festival will be organized in Himachal’s Kullu from October 13. During this, a conference of foreign ambassadors will also be held. Cultural teams from more than 15 countries will also participate in it.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sundar Thakur said that this time Dussehra festival in Kullu will start from October 13 instead of 12, which will continue till October 19. Invitations for this festival have been sent to all the gods and goddesses. I have already held a meeting with the Director of Indian Council for Cultural Relations for this festival. Like last year, this time also foreign delegations are expected to come here. Nodal officers have also been appointed for this festival. Like before, this time also Dussehra festival will be celebrated in a grand manner.
Sunder Thakur said, “Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has acknowledged that a conference of foreign ambassadors is expected to be held during the International Dussehra in Kullu, so that the development of this place can be promoted. The CM is excited about all the programs of the International Dussehra festival and the state government will celebrate the Dussehra festival in a more grand manner than last year.”
He said that during this time, discussions will also be held on international trade. This year, during the International Dussehra festival, the cultural group which gives a great performance will get a chance to perform abroad as well. The government has also signed an MoU in this regard.
Sundar Thakur said, “The administration will initiate action on other issues including plot allotment in the International Dussehra festival and applications from cultural groups will also be taken.”
