Gaza, Sep 7 (IANS) At least 10 Palestinians were killed in Israeli bomb blasts targeting two residential houses in the central and southern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian security sources told news agency Xinhua on Friday that Israeli aircraft struck a house located west of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
According to news agency Xinhua, medical sources said five people were killed in the airstrike and many were still trapped under the rubble.
Also on Friday, five people were killed and several others injured in Israeli bombing of a house in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, the Palestinian Civil Defense said in a statement.
The Israeli military has not commented on these incidents. Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023. About 1,200 people were killed in this attack and about 250 others were taken hostage. After this, Israel launched a large-scale attack against Hamas.
The number of Palestinians killed in ongoing Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip has risen to 40,878, Gaza-based health officials said in a statement on Thursday.
The ongoing blockade on the Gaza Strip has led to severe shortages of food, clean water and medicine, leaving much of the territory in ruins.
Israel has been accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
