Seoul, November 2 (IANS). The defense ministers of South Korea and Canada condemned North Korea’s military deployment in Russia. At the same time, during the bilateral meeting in Ottawa, ways to increase defense cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

Kim also praised Canada’s contribution to maintaining peace and stability on the peninsula and the broader region through active implementation of sanctions against North Korea and support for the United Nations Command. They stressed the importance of continued cooperation between the two countries to further enhance regional and global security.
The two Ministers looked forward to enhancing interoperability and strategic solidarity between South Korea and Canada by closely cooperating in a number of areas, including expanding participation in joint exercises, strengthening solidarity among UNC member states, and cooperating with like-minded countries. Expressed agreement.
According to the ministry, they also agreed to explore more opportunities to expand cooperation in the areas of defense industry and defense science and technology, with the aim of creating a mutually beneficial partnership model for both countries.
