Mumbai, January 27 (IANS). Shiv Sena leader Krishna Hegde has praised the film ‘Chhaava’. He said that it is good that a movie like ‘Chhaava’ is being made. It presents to the world the incidents related to the bravery, courage and valor of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
He said, “We have to pass on their immortal story to the future generation. The film makers take care that their bravery, valor or history is not shown in a wrong way. Nothing is shown which will tarnish their image. got hurt.”
Praising the filmmakers, he said, “Nowadays good films are being made on great persons like Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Tanaji and through this their stories are reaching the whole world.”
Let us tell you that the film Chhaava will be released in theaters on 14th February.
Earlier, the Maratha community had raised objection regarding a dance scene related to this film, which has now been removed.
The controversy regarding this film increased a lot after the trailer was out. In its trailer, the lead character was seen dancing with ‘Lezim’. In this clip, Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika were seen dancing with ‘Lezim’.
People of Maratha community said that by doing this historical facts have been tampered with, which we cannot accept at any cost.
‘Lejim’ is an instrument, which is considered an important part of the cultural tradition of Maharashtra.
Vicky Kaushal is in the lead role. He will play the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika will be seen in the role of Maharani Yesubai.
The Maratha community had lodged a protest in the historical palace of Pune regarding the film. People said that an attempt has been made to reduce the dignity of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj through the film.
