The government had already planned to bring impeachment against Justice Verma, accused of corruption. The idea of sending it to Rajya Sabha after passing it from Lok Sabha. However, Dhankhar had already announced the notice of impeachment in the Rajya Sabha. Which had signs of 63 opposition MPs. But none of these was a member of the BJP.
