Pakistan takes the initiative of ceasefire
The Foreign Minister said that the ceasefire did not have any arbitration but the initiative of ceasefire was taken by Pakistan itself. India had clearly stated that if Pakistan has to talk, then its DGMO will have to talk to the DGMO of India.
Jaishankar told the House that Pakistan had crossed India’s ‘Red Line’. After which the government took strict steps and carried out Operation Sindoor. In this operation, the terrorist bases in Pakistan were targeted. He said that it is India’s right to protect its citizens and now India will not tolerate any kind of ‘nuclear blackmailing’.
India got support internationally
Jaishankar said that India got support from America, France, Germany, European Union and Quad countries in this entire development. He said that only 3 out of 193 countries of the United Nations opposed Operation Sindoor, the rest of the world stood with India.
