Union Home Minister Amit Shah had recently released the party’s manifesto for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. He had said that if our government is formed in the valley, then all the senior women of the house will be given Rs 18,000. This amount will be given under the ‘Maa Samman Yojana’. Apart from this, two free cylinders will be provided to women under the Ujjwala Yojana. Along with this, to ensure that lack of money does not become a hindrance in anyone’s studies, we will provide three thousand rupees every year to all the girl students.

Home Minister Amit Shah had said that if the BJP government is formed in Jammu and Kashmir, then old women will be given three thousand rupees as pension every month. At present, all old women in the valley get a pension of only one thousand rupees.

Apart from this, Amit Shah also talked about giving gifts to the farmers. He said that if BJP forms the government in the valley, under the ‘Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana’, Rs 10,000 will be given instead of Rs 6,000 per year. While releasing the resolution letter, he had clearly said that one thing we all should understand is that Article 370 has now become history, it has nothing to do with the present.

Voting for the 90-member Jammu and Kashmir Assembly will be held in three phases. Voting for the first phase will be held on September 18, the second phase on September 25 and the third and final phase on October 1. While, the election results will be declared on October 8.
