Jammu, September 8 (IANS). Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference (JKPC) president Sajjad Lone on Sunday made a big statement regarding Article 370. Along with this, he also verbally attacked Omar Abdullah.
Talking to reporters, Sajad Lone said that Article 370 is bigger than all of us. I believe that a time will come when it will return in some form or the other.
Attacking Omar Abdullah, he said that he should be ashamed. He is saying that all those who are contesting elections against him are with the BJP. He should tell the solution to this, there is only one solution that no one should contest elections against him.
Advising Omar Abdullah, he said that it would be better for him to talk about what he will do for the people. He was the poster boy of the BJP and was the Minister of State in the Ministry of External Affairs. During this time he defended human rights violations and killings.
He questioned whether he has forgotten the time when after the Babri Masjid incident, no big Muslim leader was ready to sit with the BJP. But, the two big leaders who went with him at that time were Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah. He said that Barkati sahab is in jail, Omar Abdullah should be ashamed of accusing him.
Let us tell you that recently Omar Abdullah had attacked the independent candidates and said that their only aim is to win 10-15 seats and put them in the BJP’s kitty. All the arrangements for these independent candidates to contest the elections are being done by the BJP. We have to save ourselves from these forces.
It is noteworthy that voting in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in three phases, voting for the first phase will be held on September 18, for the second phase on September 25 and for the last phase on October 1. The election results will be declared on October 8.
According to the Election Commission, there are 87.09 lakh voters in 90 constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir. Of these, 42.6 lakh are women. The number of young voters voting for the first time here is 3.71 lakh while there are a total of 20.7 lakh young voters, whose age is between 20 and 29 years.
