Jammu, Sep 13 (IANS) Jammu District Election Officer Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Friday announced plans to intensify Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities across the district in preparation for the third phase of polling.
These efforts of the Election Officer are aimed at increasing awareness and encouraging more voting in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Additionally, enforcement of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is being monitored by Static Surveillance Teams and Flying Squad Teams to ensure fair behavior during the election period.
Election Officer Sachin Kumar Vaishya said that a lot of focus is being given to enforcement after the nomination process is completed. He encouraged citizens to use the C-Vigil mobile app to report any violations related to the Model Code of Conduct, giving the authorities a quick and transparent way to resolve these cases. He also urged voters to actively participate in the elections to ensure a strong democratic process.
He appealed to the people to vote and increase the voting percentage. Appealing to the first time voters, he said that the right to vote is a very big right in this democracy. All first time voters are appealed to exercise their franchise 100 percent.
It is noteworthy that voting in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in three phases, the first phase will be held on September 18, the second phase on September 25 and the last phase on October 1. The election results will be declared on October 8.
