New Delhi, 7 March (IANS). On the occasion of the seventh Jan Aushadhi Day, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reached the Jan Aushadhi Kendra at Ashok Vihar on Friday and took stock of the facilities there. During this, he also met the beneficiaries visiting the Jan Aushadhi Kendra.
On this occasion, CM Rekha Gupta said during a conversation with the media that ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana’ is a project launched by PM Modi, through which the people of the country have saved 30 thousand crore rupees in the last seven years. Today is the seventh public day.
He further said that the governments before us probably kept themselves and their government away from this public interest scheme, because they had the word ‘Prime Minister’, due to which they had trouble joining it. Today I would like to congratulate Delhi, on the occasion of the seventh Jan Aushadhi Day, we will open the Jan Aushadhi Kendra under the rules in the Delhi government, they will be opened there. A large number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras will be opened in Delhi so that the people of Delhi can get the benefit of this scheme. Here are such medicines available at a very low price, which are life saving and up to 90 percent cheaper than normal rates. Even very expensive medicines are available at a price of more than 50 percent. The people of Delhi have the right to join this trusted scheme.
Let us know that every year on March 7, ‘Jan Aushadhi Day’ is celebrated, so that awareness about this scheme can be increased and the use of generic medicines can be promoted.
It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Project has contributed significantly to the general public in providing quality medicines at affordable prices, which has ensured reaching healthcare to every corner of the country.
