Jaunpur News: On Friday, the Congress took out a strong protest march in the Collectorate campus for the alleged derogatory remarks of BJP minister Vijay Shah against Colonel Sophia Qureshi, the brave daughter of the Indian Army. Dozens of activists and leaders attended this march organized under the leadership of Congress city president Arif Khan.
BJP’s thinking has always been anti-women- Arif Khan
Arif Khan said that this remark of BJP is not only an insult to the army, but is a direct attack on women’s strength and respect. He demanded immediate arrest keeping the statement of Minister Vijay Shah in the “category of treason”. “The daughter who served the country by staying in the army shows the mental bankruptcy of the BJP, called the sister of a terrorist,” Khan said.
He further said that the history of BJP has been associated with insults of women and giving protection to rapists. “Be it Brajbhushan Sharan Singh or Brijaval Ravanna, BJP’s thinking has always been anti -women,” he alleged.
On this occasion, senior Congress leader Rakesh Singh Dabboo also launched a scathing attack on the BJP. “The BJP is intent on crushing democracy and honor of women drunk in power. But the public is watching and will answer it in the coming time,” he said.
Several prominent Congress leaders attended the protest march including Devraj Pandey, Arun Shukla, Usman Ali, Rajiv Nishad, social media in -charge Shailendra Yadav, Vijay Prakash Verma, Sunil Yadav, Shahnawaz Manzoor, Shashank Shekhar Tiwari Advocate, Zaid Siddiqui etc.

At the end of the program, Congress District Vice President Rakesh Mishra thanked all the workers, saying, “This fight is not just a military daughter, but every woman and every soldier of the country. Until Vijay Shah gets punished for his disgusting statement, the Congress’s struggle will continue.”
