Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge targeted the ruling Janata Dal (United) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday over the recent incidents of murder in Bihar and alleged that the “thugsman” of these two parties had left no stone unturned to make the state’s “crime capital”.
Recently, along with the murder of businessman Gopal Khemka in Patna, there have been many incidents of crime in some other districts of Bihar.
Kharge posted on ‘X’, “The opportunistic double engine government in Bihar has destroyed the law and order. Eight businessmen have been killed in the last six months, five times the police have been beaten up. Five people of the same family were killed on Monday due to superstition. Innocent children were killed.” He alleged that JD (U) and BJP’s “thugsman” have left no shortage in making Bihar the “crime capital” of the country.
Kharge claimed, “The Modi government’s own statistics suggest that poverty in Bihar is at its peak, the situation of social and economic justice is worse and due to the stalled law system, investment is limited to paper only.”
He said, “This time Bihar has decided that it will no longer be ill. The change in Bihar is certain. ‘India’ (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) alliance will remain by bringing this change.”
