Greater Noida, December 9 (IANS). The first trial flight started on Monday at Noida International Airport in Jewar area of Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. During this, the plane was landed on the runway and all the safety equipment was checked. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu was also present on this occasion. Gautam Buddha Nagar MP, MLA and DGCA officials were also present with him.
During this, Union Minister Naidu said, “This double engine government knows what kind of development an airport can bring. This can boost development and economic activity in the entire region.”
He said that earlier Jewar was known as a backward area, but after this trial run, Jewar has become known as a forward and economic growth center for Western Uttar Pradesh. This airport will not only transport passengers from one place to another, but will also be a big cargo hub for business. Many jobs will be created. Hospitality sector will grow. Many multiple industries will grow here in the aero sector. This will also be a new pillar of job creation in the future.
He said that this will prove to be a milestone and it will not only provide new jobs to the people but will also open all avenues of development. Today I am very happy to be present in this validation function. Whenever I go somewhere, people often ask me when Jewar Airport will open and I am happy that today after this program I feel that people will fly from here as soon as possible.
It is noteworthy that all the security related trials at the airport have been completed. Jewar Airport is ready for commercial services with the first landing. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had given permission for the first landing of the aircraft at Noida International Airport after all safety checks. After which DGCA had tested this airport.
Now after getting the green signal, the trial landing of the first aircraft took place on Monday. It is believed that commercial flights will start from here from April 2025, which will become a major hub of economic growth for the entire western Uttar Pradesh.
