After the last phase of voting in Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2019, in the counting of votes held today i.e. 23 December, Umashankar Akela of Congress won from Barhi Assembly seat. Umashankar Akela defeated Manoj Kumar Yadav of BJP by 11371 votes.
