Ranchi, September 10 (IANS). Political parties have intensified their preparations for the assembly elections to be held in Jharkhand. On one hand, the state government is making every effort to remain in power, while on the other hand, the BJP is trying to form the government in the state. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the state’s Chief Minister Hemant Soren has claimed that the state government has drawn a long line of development in the last four years. Its objective is to strengthen the farmer class.
Hemant Soren said that Jharkhand is a state of villages and most of the people living in rural areas are associated with farming. The state government has implemented many important schemes and formulated policies for farmers, which will prove to be a milestone in the times to come. He said that the state will prosper only when the villages prosper.
He said that within a few days of formation of our government in the state, we had to face many challenges, but while fighting all the challenges, the line that his government has drawn in the last four years for the upliftment of all sections of the state including the poor, the elderly, women, farmers, tribals, Dalits, exploited and backward sections is a very strong, long and deep line and it is impossible to erase it.
He said that the state government is continuously running schemes to strengthen the economic condition of farmers through various animal husbandry including fish farming, cow farming, poultry farming, milk production. He appealed to the farmers to take advantage of various schemes related to animal husbandry. His government always stands with the farmer families here. The state government has also decided to waive agricultural loans of up to Rs 2 lakh of farmers. The state government is now providing better quality animals to farmer families for agricultural work. For the first time, the state government made such a policy, in which all the animals provided to the farmers are insured, so that the insurance amount can be made available to them in case of death of the animals.
He said that I believe that the place of farmers in the country, society and family is very important. The Chief Minister said that keeping all these things in mind, the state government is running many schemes including Kisan Pathshala, Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, Didi Bari Yojana, Didi Bagiya Yojana, so that rural families can become financially strong by joining these schemes.
