Jammu Kashmir Election 2024 : Political parties have started a vigorous election campaign for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. In this connection, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reached Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. Addressing an election rally in Sundarbani here, he attacked the Congress and the National Conference. He said that both these parties are trying to mislead the public.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the election rally. He said that the work done by the Modi government for the development of Jammu and Kashmir has not been done by any government before this. He said that in the Lok Sabha elections, 58.46 percent voting took place in Jammu and Kashmir and 88 percent in Ladakh, such voting has never taken place in the history of 30 years. He said if only BJP forms the government this time, 90 percent voting will take place.
Question raised on Congress and National Conference
He said that for the first time anyone has given the right to vote to refugees from Pakistan, Balmiki community and sanitation workers, and it is our government. He said that in elections also, reservation for Dalits and backward classes has been done for the first time, this too was done by our government. He questioned the Congress and National Conference governments and asked why this was not done earlier.
Article 370 was abolished in a snap
He said that there is no difference between the words and actions of the Bharatiya Janata Party. We had promised in the year 1951 that when our government comes to power at the Centre with a clear majority, we will abolish Article 370 and we have abolished it in a jiffy. He said that the Congress and the National Conference are trying to fool the people. He said that now no power in the world can implement Article 370 again in Jammu and Kashmir.
Congress-National Conference running Pakistan’s agenda
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that Jammu Kashmir is now known for tourism and not terrorism. People here have raised the prestige of democracy and seeing this democracy, Pakistan is feeling pain in its stomach. Referring to the statement of Pakistani leader, he said that by raising the same questions that Pakistan is raising, Congress and National Conference have proved that they are running Pakistan’s agenda. He said that Pakistan’s nefarious agenda will not be allowed to run in Jammu Kashmir now. He said that Pakistan, which is struggling with poverty and misery, is not able to take care of its own home and is worried about India.
