J&K Election 2024 : The campaign for the third and final phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir has intensified. Stars of political parties are holding campaign election rallies. In this series, Congress leader and National General Secretary Priyanka Vadra reached Bishnah Assembly constituency, where while addressing an election rally, she made a strong attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that the people here are living in suffocation, no change has been seen in the last 10 years.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi addressed the election rally. He said that terrorism has not ended in Jammu and Kashmir and people here are feeling suffocated for the last ten years. He said that it is the BJP that has snatched away the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir and now we need your support to restore it. He said that he said that Congress will restore the 150 year old Darbar move tradition and statehood.
BJP is making policies for outsiders
Priyanka Gandhi said that a strong attack has been made on PM Modi and BJP. He said that terrorism has not ended in Jammu and Kashmir as is being claimed, 683 incidents have taken place in which 260 soldiers and 170 civilians have been killed. He questioned whether this is the ‘new Jammu and Kashmir’. He said that BJP has made policies to benefit outsiders here. Mineral blocks and other things have been handed over to outsiders. He said that the people here have lost their jobs and are facing difficulties because the resources available here are being provided to outsiders.
OBC will get their rights
He said that we will secure your land and your employment. To prevent paper leaks, we will bring out a calendar, because you need to know when your exams will be. Strict action will be taken against any officer who acts as a hindrance in this. He said that we want to give Rs 3500 to the unemployed, so that they can move ahead. Women heads of households will be provided an honorarium of Rs 3,000. There will be a ban on installation of smart meters, old outstanding electricity bills will be waived. He said that according to the Constitution, OBCs will get their rights. The scheme for rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits was started during the government of Manmohan Singh, which will be started again.
