Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack and spoke of “deep pain in his heart”. He also assured the families of the victims that “the conspirators and criminals of the attack would get a harsh answer.”
The Prime Minister said, “Justice will be available.” Describing the attack on April 22 in Pahalgam as a sign of frustration of the patrons of terrorism, he said that this is an act to highlight his cowardice.
In the 121st episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Modi described the terrorist attack as an attempt by people hiding behind terrorism to disturb peace in Kashmir.
Prime Minister Modi said, “Today when I am talking to you about my heart, I have deep pain in my heart. The April 22 terrorist attack has made every citizen of the country unhappy. Every Indian has a deep condolences to the families, no matter what language is from any state, any language speaks. I understand that every citizen is getting angry after seeing the pictures of the terrorist.”
The Prime Minister said, “When peace was returning to Kashmir, the enemies of the country and Jammu and Kashmir did not like it. The terrorists and their boss want Kashmir to be ruined again, so such a conspiracy was hatched.”
He emphasized that the unity of the country is the greatest strength in the ongoing battle against terrorism and he urged the country to strengthen his resolve to face this challenge.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized that the increasing number of tourists, the rising income of people and the strengthening of democracy in the region is not accepted by the forces responsible for the attack.
He said, “This attack in Pahalgam shows the frustration of terrorism patrons, shows their cowardice … at a time when peace was returning in Kashmir, there was a bright in school-colleges, construction works had caught unprecedented pace, democracy was getting stronger, the number of tourists was increasing at a record rate, the income of the people was increasing and new opportunities were increasing for the youth. Enemies did not like this. “
Prime Minister Modi reiterated that the unity of the country is the greatest strength in the fight against terrorism and he emphasized the solidarity of the nation in facing such challenges and the importance of the determination of 140 crore Indians.
He said, “Unity of the country in this war against terrorism, solidarity of 140 crore Indians, our greatest strength. This unity is the basis of our decisive battle against terrorism. To face this challenge, we have to strengthen our resolve to face this challenge.
The Prime Minister said that sensations are coming from all over the world after the attack and global leaders have strongly condemned the incident.
PM Modi said, “Friends, the anger of the people of India, that anger is in the whole world. After this terrorist attack, there are frequent condolences from all over the world. Global leaders have called me, have also written letters, have also sent messages. All have strongly condemned this heinous terrorist attack. They have expressed condolences to the families of the dead.”
He said, “The whole world stands with 1.4 billion Indians in our fight against terrorism. Once again, I assure the victim families that they will get justice. The conspirators and criminals of this attack will get severe punishment.”
The attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, in which 26 people lost their lives, one of the most deadly terrorist attacks in the valley after the 2019 Pulwama attack, killing 40 CRPF personnel.
