Amit Shah highlighted the achievements of the BJP -led central government.
He wrote in the next post, “Whether it is to spread the Shri Ram temple movement to the people, to remove Section 370 or to do the welfare of the poor, the underprivileged, women – BJP has made the country its biggest goal since its establishment. In its four decaded journey, the BJP has shown how a political party can be respected for every poor, food, health, health insurance and farmers. The renunciation and dedication of BJP workers who follow their progress is inspiring. “
Talking about the party’s foundation day, he wrote, “Today, under the leadership of Modi ji, the lotus mark has become a new symbol of faith and hope in the minds of the countrymen. The works of service, security and cultural awakening by the BJP in the last decade will become milestones in the coming days. Millions of BJP workers will continue to contribute to nation building by having a dedication of ideological commitment.”
The official formation of the BJP was on 6 April 1980 on the basis of punch loyalty. However, the party originated from the formation of the Jana Sangh in 1950. The Jana Sangh was founded by former Union Minister Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
After the end of the Emergency in 1977, the Jana Sangh merged into the Janata Party with the aim of defeating the Congress. Later, the question of ‘dual membership’ between the RSS members and the Jana Sangh raised the question that either the members of the Jana Sangh leave the Janata Party or leave the membership of the RSS. On this issue, members of the Jana Sangh left the Janata Party and officially established the BJP on 6 April 1980.
There have been two Prime Ministers since the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP): Narendra Modi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The party emerged as the largest party in the 1996, 1998 and 1999 Lok Sabha elections. The party won 303 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha, the highest in the history of the party.
