Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit on Tuesday said that Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh have falsely accused him of taking money from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), hence he is filing a defamation case against them. Will register.
He also said that he will demand Rs 10 crore in this case and after getting this amount, he will donate Rs 5 crore for cleaning Yamuna river and Rs 5 crore for curbing pollution.
Speaking to reporters, former MP Dixit claimed that AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal is a ‘pathological liar’ (habitual liar) because he could not prove all the allegations and claims he made in the last 13 years.
Dikshit, who is contesting against Kejriwal from New Delhi Assembly constituency, said that Kejriwal had defamed his late mother and former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit by making baseless allegations, but till date could not provide any proof.
Dixit said, “5-6 days ago, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh had said that I am taking money from BJP. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh died on the same day he made the allegations. That’s why we could not hold a press conference in response.
He said, “I will file a criminal and civil defamation case against Atishi and Sanjay Singh today itself. I will ask them to give me Rs 10 crore. Out of this, I will donate Rs 5 crore for cleaning Yamuna and Rs 5 crore for the issue of pollution in Delhi.
Dixit said, “It is very easy to take money. These people could not prove anything for 13 years.
He said, “For the last 10-12 years, Kejriwal has targeted Congress, me and my family. He (Kejriwal) used to roam around with 360 pages of evidence against Sheila Dikshit. BJP leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra had told me that after Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister, a BJP delegation met him and asked for evidence in this regard, then Kejriwal showed 360 newspaper cuttings. He is the first person to show newspaper cuttings as evidence.”
He said that Kejriwal made allegations not only against Sheila Dikshit but also against many big leaders of the country with whom he is seen standing in the ‘India’ alliance today.
