Congress on Friday alleged that former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has put up portraits of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and Shaheed Bhagat Singh in his office, is against the ideology of these two great men.
While talking to reporters at the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee office, party leader Rajendra Pal Gautam also said that Kejriwal never speaks on the subject of caste census and social justice.
Gautam, who was a minister in the Kejriwal government and has now joined the Congress, alleged, “Arvind Kejriwal puts the picture of Baba Saheb Ambedkar ji on one side and Shaheed Bhagat Singh ji on the other side in his office.” But the truth is that he hates both of them. Kejriwal is against the ideology of both of them.
He said, “You (media) would never have heard from the mouth of Kejriwal ji about caste census, so that everyone can get their rights.” Arvind Kejriwal never speaks about social justice.
Congress Scheduled Caste Department President Rajesh Lilothia accused BJP of ignoring reservation.
He claimed that people from the Bharatiya Janata Party have supported the idea of including Manusmriti in the curriculum in Delhi University.
He said, “While we talk about the rights given in the Constitution, the BJP talks about excluding the posts of teachers of Delhi University from the category of reservation.”
Voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held on February 5. Counting of votes will take place on February 8.
