Amidst the speculation of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal to ask for Rajya Sabha seat, Congress leader Udit Raj said that the step would not save him from the allegations and claim that he was sure to go to Tihar Jail.
Talking to ANI, Raj said, “He has been an worker from the beginning. I don’t think he will be able to escape the allegations against him. If he also goes to Rajya Sabha, it is almost certain that he will go to Tihar Jail. He should work on the improvement of prisoners and become CM of Tihar Jail.”
The speculation of Kejriwal’s visit to Rajya Sabha began when AAP nominated the current Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora as his candidate for the Ludhiana West Assembly by -election, which raised the question whether AAP convenor could get the vacant seat.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Anurag Thakur accused Kejriwal of being ‘gangster’ of the liquor scam and trying to enter the Rajya Sabha with ‘back door’.
He said, “I would just like to say that the 14 CAG report was stopped from appearing in the assembly. You and Arvind Kejriwal wanted his corruption not to come to the world and it should not be discussed.”
Now it has come in front of the world and has been introduced in the Delhi Assembly. Prime Minister Modi had said that we will present the report after coming to power and CM Rekha Gupta has done so. It is now clear that the leader of the liquor scam is Arvind Kejriwal. To save his image, he is getting his Rajya Sabha MPs vacated to his house and trying to enter the Rajya Sabha through the back door, “Thakur asked ANI.
He alleged that Kejriwal is controlling the Punjab government from the remote.
He said, “So I want to ask the people of Punjab whether you want to see Arvind Kejriwal as an MP from Punjab, who runs the state government through remote control?”
