Bihar News Desk !!! Heavy rains continue in Bihar. Since the entry of monsoon, there were reports of bridge collapses one after the other in Bihar. Till a few days ago, this matter was making headlines in Bihar politics. The matter of bridge collapse had not yet completely cooled down that once again a bridge has collapsed in Samastipur. The span of an under-construction bridge in Samastipur suddenly collapsed. This accident created panic in the entire area. There was a rush among the people present there. The incident took place near Nandani Lagunia railway station.

The accident happened last night

The work of Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur Ganga Mahasetu was going on near Nandani railway station of Samastipur. Late on Sunday evening, a span was being placed between the two pillars. Then suddenly the span fell down. After this accident, there was panic among the people present there. However, there is no news of any casualty in this accident.

Attempts to erase the traces of the accident failed

After the accident, a JCB was called on the spot. The JCB buried the debris of the bridge overnight. Obviously, the administration was trying to hide this news. But this attempt failed. According to the local people, the administration has taken this step to hide negligence. However, the collapse of the span has also raised questions on Nitish Kumar’s dream project.

Nitish Kumar’s dream project

Let us tell you that the work of Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur Ganga Mahasetu has been going on for many years. The foundation of this bridge was laid in 2011. The work of this bridge, built at a cost of 1603 crores, was to be completed in 2016 itself. But despite spending more than 1000 crores, only 60 percent of the work of the bridge has been completed. Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur Ganga Mahasetu is counted among the dream projects of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. However, the bridge collapsed even before it was built.
