Bhajanlal Sharma was born on 15 December 1967 in a Brahmin family of Attari, a small village located near Bharatpur. Originally resident of Bharatpur, Bhajanlal ji’s father’s name is Kishan Swaroop Sharma and mother’s name is Gomti Devi. Apart from his parents, his family also includes his wife Geeta Sharma, elder son Abhishek Sharma and younger son Kunal Sharma.
Talking about the education of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, he did his primary education from Attari village, after which he came to Nadbai village of Bharatpur for further studies. Despite his family being economically backward, Bhajanlal ji never allowed his education to be interrupted. And moved to Jaipur for further studies, here he first obtained BA degree from SSG Subodh College and then obtained MA degree in Political Science from Rajasthan University.
CM Bhajanlal Sharma had a strong inclination towards politics since his college days, due to which he joined Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad while studying in Subodh College. While being associated with ABVP, CM Bhajanlal participated in the Kashmir March of 1990, Udhampur March of 1991 and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement in 1992. Due to being active on these fronts, Bhajanlal ji also got the opportunity to handle the Yuva Morcha of Bharatiya Janata Party and in the true sense, this also became the beginning of his political career.
After this, Bhajanlal Sharma ji contested the Sarpanch election from Attari village at the age of 27, and after winning the election, he remained the Sarpanch of Attari village from 2000 to 2005. After this, he has also held the posts like District President of Bharatpur from 2009 to 2014, State Vice President of Rajasthan from 2014 to 2016, State General Secretary from 2016 to now and Panchayat Samiti member from 2010 to 2015. Apart from all these posts, Bhajanlal Sharma ji has also held big posts like President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Nadbai Mandal, BJYM District Minister, three times BJYM District President and Bharatpur BJP District Minister. The party showed confidence in Bhajanlal ji, who had served the BJP for a long time, in the 2023 assembly elections, and gave him the ticket from Sanganer assembly seat. Living up to the trust of the party, he registered his victory with recorded votes and became the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s life was full of struggles, due to which in the initial phase he even did work like cow rearing and selling milk. Bhajanlal Sharma’s struggle to reach the level of Chief Minister from an ordinary person was not easy, he has done many different jobs from helping his father in agricultural work to working as an accountant with a builder.
Bhajanlal Sharma, who won from Sanganer Assembly seat for the first time by recorded votes, has total declared assets of about Rs 1 crore 50 lakh, out of which movable assets worth Rs 43 lakh 60 thousand and immovable assets worth Rs 1 crore are included.
