The ED has once again taken major action in the money laundering case related to former Jharkhand MLA Amba Prasad. On Friday, the ED raided a total of 8 locations including Ranchi. The residences of relatives and close relatives of Red Amba Prasad have been raided. According to the information received, the ED teams reached many places in Ranchi and Hazaribagh and conducted intensive search operations.
Who is Amba Prasad?
Amba Prasad is a Congress leader, lawyer and social worker. She represents the Barkagaon assembly constituency as an MLA.
Strong hold in Congress
She belongs to the Indian National Congress and is currently the National Secretary of the Indian National Congress and the co-devotion of West Bengal.
Both parents have been MLAs
Amba Prasad comes from a political family. His father Yogendra Saw has been a minister in the Jharkhand government and his mother Nirmala Devi has also been an MLA. She has often been in discussion about her roles. On Women’s Day, she rode on a horse and reached the assembly.
Educational qualification
He has done PGDM from LLB and Xavier Institute of Social Service from Vinoba Bhave University. He has also practiced in Ranchi High Court on issues related to land rights and social justice.
Political journey
He won the 2019 assembly elections and set a record for becoming the youngest member of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. He entered politics while preparing for UPSC Civil Services Examination, when his parents went to jail for political conspiracy.
Regional issues are being raised
Amba Prasad has been vocal on issues like land rights, women empowerment, tribal welfare and access to education and healthcare in rural Jharkhand as an MLA. She plays an active role in raising awareness about sustainable development in her constituency and improvement in infrastructure.

Jharkhandi has also released an album on songs and dances. She once reached the assembly riding on a horse, which was her way to convey the message of women empowerment.
