Jodhpur, 7 December (IANS). Famous gangster Lawrence Bishnoi appeared in Jodhpur court on Saturday. In this appearance, his statement was also recorded in the court through video conference. These statements were recorded in the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate No. 7, Harshit Hada. Lawrence, while answering all the questions of the court in the case of extortion from travel businessman Manish Jain, called the entire episode false. He also accused the police of trapping him by taking fake action.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s lawyer Sanjay Bishnoi said, “Lawrence Bishnoi’s statement was taken from Sabarmati jail on Saturday. About 55 questions were asked to Lawrence by the court. He answered all these questions. While answering the questions, Lawrence said That the police had falsely implicated him in these cases and even after the incident, there was no recovery from him. How could he have carried out this incident? He was in jail for three years before this incident took place, then how could he have carried out this incident.”
He said, “There are two persons appearing in the CCTV footage of this incident, he was not among those two persons. Secondly, he said that the police has implicated him in this incident. After this, when he asked to cooperate with the police in this case. When he refused, his brother was also implicated in this case. Apart from this, the statement of some people is still pending in the court, after that there will be a final argument. The file on the decision will come later.”
Advocate Pukhraj Godra said, “Lawrence Bishnoi’s statement was made on Saturday. During this time he was wearing a red T-shirt and blue jeans. He had a Rudraksha rosary in his left hand. He had applied vermilion tilak. He was giving the statement in a very simple and calm manner. He did not seem nervous at all.”
