Bhopal, September 7 (IANS). Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh had a special conversation with IANS on Saturday. During this, he reacted on the assembly elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir.
Voting for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir is to be held in three phases. Top leaders of all political parties have gathered here. Amidst the election fervor, veteran Congress leader Digvijay Singh was questioned about the assembly elections. Reacting to the statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he said that Jammu and Kashmir has its own separate issue, let the people there decide their own election issue.
Actually, recently Union Home Minister Amit Shah had given a statement regarding Jammu and Kashmir that Article 370 will never be removed from here, it has now become a dream. The Congress leader said these things while reacting to this.
Apart from this, Digvijay Singh, while retaliating to the statement of WFI President Sanjay Singh on giving ticket to Vinesh Phogat, who was a part of Paris Olympics, by Congress Party in Haryana Assembly elections, and said, “Vinesh Phogat, who is getting respect in the world today, who has been subjected to grave injustice, the Prime Minister himself has expressed regret over it, if the President of Wrestling Federation gives such a statement about her weight increasing by 100 grams, then I strongly condemn it.”
In fact, before this, the President of the Wrestling Association of India, Sanjay Singh, had said that the demonstration of the players at Jantar Mantar in Delhi was sponsored by the Congress and had talked about filing a case of treason against them. This statement of Sanjay Singh came after Vinesh Phogat joined the Congress.
Let us tell you that earlier Digvijay Singh had verbally attacked Madhya Pradesh BJP President VD Sharma. Regarding the recent incident in Chhatarpur, Digvijay Singh had accused the administration of taking unilateral action and said that despite the “triple engine government” of BJP and its organizations, Sharma has failed to take action. Attacking VD Sharma, he said, “If VD Sharma considers me a supporter of terrorists, then I am disappointed at his impotence.”
