Lucknow News: Children suffering from muscular dystrophy on Monday submitted a memorandum addressed to Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to National Secretary Rajendra Chaudhary and State President Shyam Lal Pal. In the memorandum, disabled children suffering from serious diseases like muscular dystrophy have demanded that their voice be conveyed to the state and central governments. The child not only becomes incapable of walking but also becomes incapable of doing his daily work. 85 percent of the body of these children stops functioning. A 24-hour assistant is required to take care of them. Because of this the family remains troubled with financial and mental burden.
There is a pension system in other states

In addition to a lump sum amount, the governments of Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Orissa are making provisions in the budget for tests, daily physio therapy, hydro therapy, electric wheel chair, hydraulic table etc. for children suffering from these diseases and also monthly family pension. Is given. Whereas in Uttar Pradesh, despite having the highest number of disabled children, there is no human sympathy towards them.
Protested many times but still no hearing
In the memorandum, the disabled expressed their pain and said that despite several demonstrations at Jantar Mantar and India Gate, Delhi, no hearing was held. The Union Health Minister assured medicines and assistance, yet no help was received. No support could be received even from the Prime Minister’s Office. The demands of the children suffering from muscular dystrophy are that like in other states, in Uttar Pradesh too, the children should get monthly pension, a lump sum amount should be provided for the purchase of physiotherapy and other necessary equipment for the children and the state government should provide special care to the children. Special day care centers should be built in about four districts.
