Lucknow News: The inauguration and welcome ceremony of newly appointed Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Congress Scheduled Caste Department, Tanuj Punia (MP), was organized at the State Congress Headquarters on Wednesday. The program was conducted by the outgoing chairman of the department, Alok Prasad.
On this occasion, State Congress President and former minister Ajay Rai said that Tanuj Punia ji got the inspiration to struggle from his father PL Punia ji. Tanuj Punia was working in a multinational company on a big package, but he left his job and entered politics for the upliftment of the Dalit society. He said that Congress has always been well-wisher of Dalits. Congress is the only party which has honored the people of Dalit community by appointing them to top positions. Be it the country’s first Law Minister, Constitution maker Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, the country’s first President KR Narayanan or the country’s first Dalit woman Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar.
BJP is working to divide the society
Ajay Rai said that today BJP is working to divide the society by spreading religious and caste-based frenzy in the society. BJP is only doing vote politics. BJP is betraying the country. Under the rule of BJP, people are facing injustice and atrocities in the society. I am confident that under the leadership of Shri Tanuj Punia ji, the Congress Scheduled Caste Department will set a new record and strengthen the organization of the Congress Party. I will stand shoulder to shoulder in their struggle.
He said that the way Rahul Gandhi has raised the issue of the Constitution and the issues of Dalit community people and their participation and participation, the result has been that all the claims of BJP in the last Lok Sabha elections proved to be hollow. Congress fought for the rights of Dalits
Tanuj Punia said that the Congress Party handed over the responsibility of making the Constitution to Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, the messiah of the Dalit society, to firmly fight for the rights of the Dalits and Baba Saheb served as the first Law Minister of the country. Worked to honor Dalit by giving him the opportunity to do so. He said that our aim will be to make the Dalit community aware across the state by appointing officers in Dalit dominated areas in every district of the state and our aim will be to connect more and more Dalit community people with the Congress Party. Alok Prasad, the outgoing Chairman of the UP Congress Committee Scheduled Caste Department, who was conducting the program, while congratulating the newly appointed Chairman Tanuj Punia, said that he has previous experience of working in the department.
