New Delhi, November 13 (IANS). Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind Chairman Maulana Arshad Madani has reacted to the Supreme Court’s decision on bulldozer action.
While talking to the media, Arshad Madani said that we understand that it is against the law to demolish the house of a person who has earned his whole life. Whatever is being done is an attempt to destroy the entire life’s earnings of the poor. Some cases have also come to light that even rented houses were demolished. There is a whole family in one house. If one person commits a mistake, it is wrong to make the world of the entire family a hell and make them helpless.
He said that someone’s entire life can be destroyed in one day or one hour, and on this basis we had gone to court. Our effort was to help the people in trouble. For this we had appointed the best lawyers in the Supreme Court. The lawyers presented a strong stand for the poor and the oppressed. We are very proud of Allah’s nature and His grace. We pray to God that the poor continue to get the same help from the court as they have got today.
Madani said that we are very happy and believe that the court has taken the right and correct step. This is a big achievement of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind. Action should be taken against those who demolished people’s houses using bulldozers. We congratulate all the judges who have listened to the heart of the people, considered the problem as their own problem and have taken the right decision as per the custom. May God ensure that such decisions continue to be taken to provide peace and rights to the poor in our country. Peace and harmony should prevail within the country.
He further said that governments should compensate the people whose houses have been demolished, because their lives have been completely destroyed.
