Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday greeted the inauguration of Mahakumbh and called it a confluence of cultures and a message of unity in diversity.
Earlier on Monday, on the occasion of Paush Purnima, Maha Kumbh started on the banks of Sangam, which is the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and the legendary Saraswati, in which about 40 lakh devotees took a dip in the early hours of the day.
Adityanath wrote on Twitter, “Happy Paush Purnima. The world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering ‘Maha Kumbh’ is starting from today in the holy city of Prayagraj.”
He said, “A hearty welcome to all the revered saints, Kalpavasis and devotees who have come to experience unity in diversity, meditate on the confluence of faith and modernity and take a holy bath. May Mother Ganga fulfill all your wishes.”
He said, “Good wishes for the inauguration and first bath of Mahakumbh Prayagraj. Sanatan Gaurav – Mahakumbh Mahotsav. Where there is a confluence of cultures, there is also a confluence of faith and harmony.”
Giving the message of ‘Unity in Diversity’, Mahakumbh-2025, Prayagraj is providing an interview with Sanatan along with the welfare of humanity.
Mahakumbh, being organized after 12 years, will continue till 26th February.
