Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Aditya Thackeray said that the upcoming assembly elections are important for Mumbai and Maharashtra.
Addressing an election rally in Mumbai’s Shivadi, Thackeray accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of making big investments in Gujarat itself and “shattering the dreams” of the youth of Maharashtra.
He said, “This election will be the most important election of our lives. This election is not about getting back our election symbol and party or about Uddhav Thackeray or me. This election is important for Maharashtra and Mumbai.
Let us tell you that Maharashtra Assembly elections are to be held on November 20, counting of votes for all 288 constituencies will take place on November 23. In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, BJP won 105 seats, Shiv Sena won 56 and Congress won 44 seats. In 2014, BJP won 122 seats, Shiv Sena 63 and Congress 42 seats.
