Maharashtra News Desk!!! The BJP-led grand alliance has won more than two-thirds of the seats in the Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024. Although the results have not been declared on these seats, the lead is so much that the victory of the Mahayuti candidates is considered certain. BJP has once again emerged as the largest party. BJP is leading on 130 seats. Whereas Shiv Sena is leading over Shinde faction on 55 seats. Mahayuti seems to be getting a huge victory in Maharashtra. BJP has once again emerged as the largest party, but the most discussed are the seats of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Shinde’s party Shiv Sena seems to be getting 55 seats and its strike rate is also strong. So what happened that the party which was punished in the Lok Sabha elections, this time the public made it proud. All those MLAs, who rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray and sided with Shinde, won again. Actually, there is a ‘bow and arrow’ connection behind this.
Ajit Pawar’s NCP is also leading on 40 seats. The biggest discussion in the elections is about the victory of Shiv Sena Shinde faction. Shinde’s party is leading on 55 seats so far. In such a situation, the biggest question is that what happened that the party which proved to be a laggard in the Lok Sabha elections registers a landslide victory in the elections after 5 months. In the Lok Sabha elections held in May, Mahavikas Aghadi of Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar and Rahul Gandhi got a massive victory. MVA won 30 out of 48 seats. Uddhav faction alone got 9 seats, while it contested only 21 seats. In this way his strike rate was close to 42%. Whereas Shinde faction contested elections on 14 seats and was successful in winning 7 seats. Thus the strike rate was 50%. But after the assembly elections the whole game changed. Shinde’s party seems to be winning double the seats than Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena. Political experts believe that there are many reasons behind this. But one of the most important reasons is the election symbol.
Know what was the reason for the big victory?
According to political analysts, after the separation of Shiv Sena before the Lok Sabha elections, the Commission had confiscated the election symbol Dhanush-Arrow. Then the Uddhav faction got the symbol of a torch and the Shinde faction got the symbol of two swords and a shield. Due to this the voters got confused. The staunch supporters of Shiv Sena loved Dhanush Baan, but the matter was resolved after the elections. Shinde’s Shiv Sena has once again got the bow and arrow. Which was the traditional election symbol of Shiv Sena. After this, Shinde’s party is ahead on bumper seats in the current elections.
Why did Shinde look heavy?
After the split in Shiv Sena, when Lok Sabha elections were held, the Election Commission had confiscated Shiv Sena’s election symbol ‘bow and arrow’. Then Uddhav faction’s Shiv Sena was given the election symbol ‘Mashal’, while Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena was given the election symbol ‘Two Swords and a Shield’. According to experts, this is the reason why there was confusion among the voters in the Lok Sabha elections. Because the staunch supporters of Shiv Sena liked ‘Dhanush Baan’ very much. But soon after the assembly elections, the matter was resolved and Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena again got the same ‘bow and arrow’ which was the traditional election symbol of Shiv Sena. The result was that Eknath Shinde was seen falling heavily.
This was the case in the Lok Sabha
Let us tell you that MVA had registered a landslide victory in the Lok Sabha elections held in May. MVA had won 30 out of 48 seats. Uddhav group got 9 seats. Uddhav Thackeray had contested elections on 21 seats. While the Shinde faction contested elections on 14 seats and won 7 seats, but when the assembly elections came, the Shinde faction turned the tables. Now Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena contested only 81 seats and seems to be winning 55 seats. In this way his strike rate is around 70 percent. Whereas the Uddhav Thackeray group’s party, which has fielded candidates on 95 seats, seems to be getting only 21 seats. At the same time, his strike rate has come down to 22 percent. It is clear that the voters considered Eknath Shinde as the real Shiv Sena and were seen supporting him. Uddhav Thackeray did not benefit from the sympathy wave received in the Lok Sabha elections.
