Maharashtra Election 2024 : Ahead of the elections in Maharashtra, a clash has arisen between allies Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) over the Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar seat within the Mahayuti alliance. After the nomination of NCP leader Nawab Malik, BJP has declared Shiv Sena’s Suresh Krishna Patil as its official candidate.

Nawab Malik filed his nomination as NCP (Ajit Pawar) candidate from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar seat in Maharashtra. After filing the nomination, Malik said that I filed the nomination as an NCP candidate. He said that I had also filed the form as an independent candidate, but the party has sent the AB form and we filed it at 2.55 pm and now I am the official candidate of NCP.

Expressing gratitude towards the party leadership, Malik said that I am very grateful to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, NCP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Praful Patel and NCP leader Sunil Tatkare. He trusts me. He said that I am confident that we will win the elections because a large number of voters will support me.

Let us tell you that Nawab Malik has been MLA from Anushakti Nagar Assembly twice. He had announced to contest the elections as an independent candidate from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar after the NCP had initially denied him the ticket due to opposition from alliance partner BJP. NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) has given ticket to Nawab Malik’s daughter Sana Malik from Anushakti Nagar seat.

Voting for the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly is to be held on November 20. The nomination deadline for this has ended on Tuesday. Differences continue between both the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and the Mahayuti alliance. In such a situation, changes may be seen on many seats till the last date of nomination, 4th November. Seat-sharing is being finalized in each alliance.
