Maharashtra: Election Commission team checked the bag of Goa CM Pramod Sawant

Satara, November 14 (IANS). The bag of Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant was checked in Satara on Thursday by the Election Commission in the election state of Maharashtra.

The Election Commission is fully active in conducting the Maharashtra elections fairly. The Commission team is also keeping an eye on big leaders. Their belongings are also being examined. In this connection, the bag of Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant was checked in Satara on Thursday.

Actually, Pramod Sawant is the star campaigner of Bharatiya Janata Party. He came to Maharashtra on Thursday to participate in the election campaign in favor of the party. During this time, the Election Commission team searched his luggage at Karad Airport in Satara district.

Let us tell you that earlier the helicopter of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) President and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was searched by the Election Commission team. The Commission had searched Uddhav Thackeray’s belongings twice, due to which there was a lot of political uproar.

On Monday, the bag of former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) President Uddhav Thackeray was checked in Yavatmal district. After this, many types of political reactions started emerging. The matter was not yet over when the Election Commission team once again checked his helicopter on Tuesday.

Amidst all this, the opposition Grand Alliance of the state was continuously alleging that the Election Commission was only checking the belongings of the opposition leaders.

In Maharashtra, the contest is between the ruling Mahayuti and the Maha Aghadi formed by the alliance of Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP, SP and Congress. Claims of victory are being made from both sides. Voting for all seats in Maharashtra, which has 288 assembly seats, is to be held in a single phase on November 20. Its results will be revealed on November 23.
