Maharashtra Election: The candidature of senior NCP leader Nawab Malik in the Maharashtra assembly elections now seems to be a problem for the ruling Mahayuti alliance. Nawab Malik has filed nomination from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar assembly seat on Tuesday, the last day of nomination.
The Uddhav faction of Shiv Sena has launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance over the candidature of Nawab Malik. He asked where have those distributing certificates of patriotism gone now? Dawood Ibrahim’s associate has now become close to Devendra Fadnavis and Ashish Shelar.
Nawab Malik becomes official candidate of NCP
Senior NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik filed nomination from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar seat today. He had filed his nomination both as an independent and NCP candidate. Later, while talking to the media, he said that I had also filed my nomination as an independent candidate but the party sent the AB form for me. I have submitted this form at 2.55 pm.
He said that after submitting this form, I have now become an official candidate of NCP. Malik said that I am deeply grateful to Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare for giving me the party ticket.
The party leaders have expressed full confidence in me and now the voters of the area will support me in large numbers. He said that I have full confidence that this time I will win the Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar assembly seat in the assembly elections.
Where have those who distributed certificates of patriotism gone?
After Nawab Malik’s candidature on NCP ticket became clear, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has made a sharp attack on the ruling alliance. He said that certificates of patriotism have been distributed by the leaders of Mahayuti alliance, but now the biggest question is where have the people who distributed certificates of patriotism gone?
Dawood’s friend has now officially become the candidate of the BJP-led alliance. Dawood’s associate has now become close to Devendra Fadnavis and Ashish Shelar. Controversy regarding Nawab Malik’s candidature
There is already a lot of controversy regarding the candidature of Nawab Malik. Nawab Malik has been contesting elections from Anushakti Nagar but this time he has given ticket to his daughter Sana Malik from this assembly constituency. After the objection raised by BJP, it was believed that NCP might refrain from giving ticket to Nawab Malik, but on the last day of nomination, the party has given AB form to Nawab Malik.
BJP had said – cannot support
Senior BJP leader Ashish Selar had already raised objection regarding the discussion of Nawab Malik candidature. He had publicly said that Dawood’s partner cannot be supported by BJP. He said that BJP is completely against giving ticket to Nawab Malik.
Apart from BJP, the ruling Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra also includes Shinde faction of Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar faction of NCP. After Ajit Pawar’s party gave ticket to Nawab Malik, now it is being considered difficult for BJP to answer the questions. Even on the attack made by Priyanka Chaturvedi, BJP has till now maintained silence.
